- Former expert for WHO, UNDP and currently for the Committee for the Prevention of Torture CPT-(Council of Europe) since 1992.
- Recently performed several "audits" for the State Council, and for a committee of the Grand Council of Geneva.
- Board member of the Torture Prevention Association.
- Co-founded and managed for 10 years the magazine « Déviance et Société » .
- Jury President of the Gabriel Tarde Prize, paid for by the French Ministry of Justice, through the French Association of Criminology.
- Holds academic responsibilities at the University of Geneva.
